Fox Building & Engineering Ltd (FBEL) were PSCS for the project, involving the construction of 10km Type 1 Single Carriageway (S2) with 2.5m hard shoulders, was on a major arteriole route linking the M6 to M3 & M1 linking major hubs from Galway, Athlone & Mullingar to Ardee, Dundalk & NI carrying 6500 AADT with many HGVs.

This project included significant earthworks including ground improvements, complex junctions, extensive utility diversions, & the construction of contractor designed structures including a overbridge & underpasses & box culverts. The project involved works to River Deel tributaries, part of the River Boyne & Blackwater SAC & SPA. The project involved significant stakeholder engagement in including TII structures, Westmeath CoCo, service providers, schools, businesses & residents, IFI, NPWS & ESB.
